There are many tests avaible which are used to meausre personality, they play an important role in workplace or even while choosing a career path for the youngster. The common personality tests are 1) Myers Brigg 2) Big five 3)Occupational interest inventories 4) DISC behaviour inventory 5) Situational Judgement tests.
These tests are based on lot of data work, their coreelation varaince to the actual situation is very close. They are being successfully implemented and are used for many years. Many people do agree to this test and have found very benefical in changing their career paths or choosing at the young age accordingly. I personally prefer BIG 5 personality test. This test is simple and easy to understand by any one unlike the complex combinations done by MBTI OR DISC. It has just 5 parameters namely openess, creativity, extraversion, agreeableness,neuroticism - OCEAN. This measurs all aspects pf personality and does not restrict to introvert or extrovert, creative or non creative. It has simple factors which can hold two or more parameters at same time. Hence it can come down to being creative and extrovert, or introvert but openess or agreeablei.e flexible. All these factors then can lead to many occupational professionals, such sales, technical etc.
