Explanation / Answer

Discrimination refers to the act of treating people unequally by denying their rights.Today, this discrimination is unleashed on the basis of race, ethnicity, colour, disability, sexualities orientation etc. People have the right to adopt civil disobedience of their rights are taken away from them because it's a democratic country. Besides, history has proven that civil disobedience is one of the many ways to fight inequality and discrimination. One of the most uncivilised act is discrimination which was very casual earlier but today, in this most advanced time, discrimination is still practiced by people in the so called developed nations. The first and foremost reason for discrimination is ignorance. This ignorance emerges out of thoughts of racial superiority. White people always thought they were the intelligent people on the earth and intelligence is inherited. Although science has proven otherwise, they are not ready to give up their position out of fear. Secondly, White people always think White is the superior colour which also shows their ignorance. Once, White people occupied and took the lands from the native Americans by force but now they don't respect the natives and boat themselves of the people of the land which shows their arrogance. They don't still don't realise that they had stolen the land from the natives and give it back to them. They also unleashed their brutality on the Black people although they with their hard work made America to its current state. All these reasons cause discrimination and today it's institutionalised where people of colour are denied the equal right to education, housing, medicine etc. Although there are enough laws that were enacted to fight this discrimination, the implementation part is still problematic because of the people's mindset.
