Explanation / Answer
The concept chosen by me is the I-Thou relationship. In this concept, “Thou” can be anything but none considered as objects. The basic intent is to interact with others to gain knowledge or experience. This type of relationship is more about two-sided interaction and the focus completely lies on conceptualization and experience sharing. This relationship provides a number of benefits involved in it as it is all about first hand experience of knowledge, so the level of learning is quite high. This concept helps in having deeper interactions and to develop enriched relationships. In this doctrine, the communication incentive is the highest as this doctrine encourages and establishes deeper modes of interaction between 2 parties. This doctrine lays importance on the skill of learning through listening. Listening is one of the most crucial skill of communication. This doctrine highlights the interaction between 2 parties, which helps in making the communication more interesting and with more value addition. The 2 involved parties develop trust between themselves and so the lines of communication become clearer. The I-Thou situation happens when both parties become totally involved in the situation. There exists a mutual understanding between the two, which is very important to have thoughtful discussions. I-Thou relationship can be seen in the selfless work that people do for orphan children and old age people. The most important aspect is that the interactions in this doctrine is not mechanical. People open up freely and express their thoughts and ideologies.
