Can someone assist with this?
I was looking at the trap configurations on Cisco IOS and it seems to offer more ability to setup traps on the devices then a windows device. This may be due to the command line interface of the Cisco devices as opposed to Windows devices. There is also the problem with producing too many SNMP traps, so the network administrator needs to be aware of the number of traps he is issuing, this could tax the throughput on the network and also create needless information. I think this is more prone to Cisco devices and maybe Linux because there is more flexibility in these OS's than you would find on a Windows platform because many things on the OS are proprietary. You also run into this with the Windows server audits. There are so many different audits you can do with server 2012 that you have to be mindful of which audits you need and want.
