For the first part of the question involving the hardware and software specifciations required in a coffee shop, we need to have an application running, probably on a server on site which handles all the day to day operations at the shop. It serves for billing purposes as well as notifies the kitchen inside of the orders placed so the items can be prepared, followed by notifying the customers that their order is ready, in case it is a self-service shop. The backend needs to store all the billing data and keep it accessible at a later time. For the hardware, we require computers with preferably touch displays at the counters and display monitors in the kitchen as well as near the seating area to notify of the orders.
The cost for this would include both the setup cost that will be one time as well as the annual maintainence cost. Setting up the hardware and the software as per specifications incurs a one time cost as the monitors and CPUs need to be bought while the softwares need to be purchased with the licenses. Setting up the server and the network also costs money. For the yearly maintainence, licences need to be renewed and the hardware needs to be maintained.
