Question

Class, ideally, certifications should indicate something about knowledge and experience in a field - if they do not do so, then they will probably not survive the marketplace - so we can expect that, over time, professional certification in IT security will improve and companies will likely be looking for them. But there may be another issue with using certifications as hiring criteria - perhaps a certified new hire will simply cost more than a non-certified but competent new hire. So, let me ask you this - do you think certification should be used as a promotion criterion?

Explanation / Answer

Yes. We can consider sertificatin got promotion criteria. In any industry, client invest money as per workers experience. So when employee/worker has certification then he/she considered to be expert in that field. So we can consider for promotion. But there is also chance that everywhere one can misuse this certification program. So before considering into promotion, employer must check whether he is really expert in that course or not.
