Ransomware is a problem for everyone using internet and is posing great threat . It is more problematic at corporate and national levels because very important data is being stolen or hacked. Personal computers are also being attacked and people are blacmailed. Inorder to prevent this some software tools are installed int he system which prevent any unknown user to enter the system. But we must also make sure whom we trust and whom we provide thepasswords to . We also need to ensure that the software is updated regularly. Backup must be created for the information and needs to be stored in highly confidential places. This might reduce the risk but the eradication of the risk is still in development and hackers are finding one way or the other to penetrate the barriers.
