Given the following "byte stuffing" scheme: Character Hex code Character in data Characters sent 01h 04h 1Bh 78h 79h 7Ah soh eot esc soh eot esc esc y esc Z Note: soh and eot are the framing characters. DATA 79h 01h 78h 1Bh If byte stuffing is used to transmit Data, what is the byte sequence of the frame (including framing characters)? Format answer with capital hex values, with each value followed by an 'h' and separated by spaces, for example: OAh 12hExplanation / Answer
From the Given Information i get to know that u need Total Frame in hexadecimal Format..
The Data u have given me is 79h 01h 78h 1Bh...
In Byte stuffing we use an start of header as a byte . Here it is 01h. and Use an End of trailer here it is 04h.
if any one of them is come in data part, system may confuse to take the data as it would confused to identify the start and end . So here we need an special byte called escape byte here it is 1Bh..
What if escape character comes in data part again you use escape for escape...
i.e for example data is esc esc esc....====> esc esc esc esc esc esc (It is disadvantage of Byte stuffing infact).
Now coming to our actual data ....
(start of frame)01h 79h 1Bh(since it is start of header ->) 01h 78h 1Bh(escape for escape ) 1Bh 04h(end of trailer)
Thank you . I hope u'll appreciate me ....
