Performance management is a continuous cycle of improving job performance practices (through goalsetting, feedback, coaching, rewards, etc.). Provide two examples of how your organization (or research and organization) improve organizational performance.Explanation / Answer
I was a Department Manager in a retail company and responsible for handling FMCG department. In that company I was given open opportunity to get ht promotion within a year. The company believed that with the growth of the skilled individuals the company will grow. Hence for growth of the company, they used to offer the employees the growth opportunities.
1 I had been given the opportunity to get 2 Exceed Expectation remarks in a year and get the promotion. The performance management system was based on quarter period. It means there were 4 time assessment in a year and i had to get 2 exceed expectation remarks. For getting the EE remarks i have to achieve the more than 100% of quarter target, reduce shrinkage below 1%, promote a team member from your team and achieve the extra project which is decided by myself. So for getting the promotion i worked hard and given good result. Ultimately in 1.5 years i got the promotion. By this was the company as well as me grew together.
2- I had to promote one employee or prepare a employee for the further designations. Or an example completely preparing a customer service associate to handle the designation of inventory manager. By this way employees were always ready to handle any unexpected situation. Further the knowledge of further post helped the associates to execute their work better. By this way they used to give their best and company grew along with that.
