Backward planning is the process of determining where each of the varied production processes starts so supplies, components and assemblies can be ordered to arrive in a logical manner to assemble the final goods which will then meet delivery schedules. As individuals, we know our daily lives are filled with deadlines, goals and milestones. We must mentally apply a logical sequence of events in our schedules to ensure we meet those pre-set events.

Explanation / Answer

Background scheduling and planning is very important in everyone’s life for a successful time management. People sets time standards for them for achievement of their goals on time and an their day to day activities to achieve the final gaols either at the end of the day or the end of the month or any duration as planned by them. Let’s say example-

A mother sets time for children to be taken from school at 10 a.m. and before that she has to receive the clothes from dry cleaner 15 minutes before the school time. Mother has set the time of lunch at 1 p.m. and incudes 1 hour time before lunch for preparation of food and before preparation half an hour for getting the vegetables from the nearby vegetable store. In this way. A mother has scheduled her full day time table for managing properly her activities of the whole day. This kind of management is backward management for logical sequence of events in day to day personal life.
