Question
Im in a legal environment of business class and I have a question regarding levels of abstraction. To give an example, here is a list of statements (the top being the least abstract and the bottom being the most abstract).
A. The organization will spend a lot
B. The business will buy a lot of things to improve itself
C. The firm will spend a large amount of money to upgrade operations
D. The company has tens-of-thousands-of dollars budgeted for a wide range of computer equipment
E. This year, the Wacker company will spend nearly $100,000 to upgrade its portable information systems.
F. Wacker company's sales department will be spending $70-80,000 on laptops and $15-20,000 on attendant software this fiscal year.
My question is what is a real life example of the abstraction laddar being used today (for example in politics maybe?). I have been trying to think of a real life example but have been struggling mightily. If you could come up with a real life example to help me further understand this abstraction laddar concept that would be awesome. I couldnt find or couldnt tell the best subject to put this question in so i put it in the Ops Management subject (sorry if its not the best subject for the question).
Explanation / Answer
ladder of abstraction can be defined as that the way human thinks and communicate in different degrees of abstraction. it means, people can not be get the exact meaning of the statement or to get the exact meaning to the statements they must apply their exceptional skilss.
