Significance of Equilibrium constant:

- For any given temperature, there is only one equlibrium constant.
- Kc only changes if the temperature at which reaction occurs changes

For the following reaction :

Equilibrium constant, Kc = [C]c[D]d / [A]a[B]b

If the value K is small , it means that there are more reactants (denominator) than the products (numerator). which mean the equilibrium favors the reaction to the left
