Plastic Reduction in the Environment
First and foremost, the best way to reduce plastic waste into the environment is for all individuals to come together and consciously make an effort to change their habits in regards to plastic disposal and recycling. A lot of plastics that end up in the environment (outside of their designated disposal places) are usually attributed to individuals as opposed to companies. As stated by theguardian.com, "A million plastic bottles are bought around the world every minute and the number will jump another 20% by 2021". Based on this statistic, people simply reusing plastic bottles would decrease the environmental impact of plastic by millions of tons. Therefore, habit based on the population should firstly be addressed to reduce plastic consumption. There are many government programs and information programs implemented throughout the country, more so in California, where plastic pollution and consumption was significantly reduced simply by informing the public of good and sustainable practices and incorporating that into recycling programs.
However, a more productive approach that could yield benefits would be converting the leftover plastic into oil in a process called pyrolysis. The process melts small plastic pieces and distills them into synthetic crude oil, which could be used for energy production purposes. Moreover, this could also generate jobs and an entirely new sector which has the potential to not only reduce the plastic waste in the environment but also allows for another method of energy production. Considering the amount of plastic waste per year, the amount of power that could be used could probably replace even more crude and dirty methods of energy production. The American Chemistry Council states, "The industry trade group estimates that the US landfills contained 32.5 million tons of non recycled plastics in 2011. Recovering 20 percent of that could support between 350-600 new plastics to oil facilities, depending on size and capacity.

According to few of the recent researches and studies it is very much evident that plastics are very dangerous to the environment and in turn to the mankind as whole. They emit poisonous gases and take many many years to decompose and all through these years if we discard them they stay in the soil without decomposing and emit poisonous gases which are not good for the health of living beings and also they spoil the quality of soil making it difficult for the plants to grow.
In the first paragraph, the aspect of recycling is taken into consideration which is very important and a must decision to be taken at this hour or need.
Here it is an eye opener as it is very clear that most of the plastics come out of individual consumption rather than companies so individual users have to take care. Also the use of plastic bottles will increase too in future which has to be taken care off. The idea of reducing the plastic consumption first and then reusing and recycling the same has to be followed by all.
In the second para, the very much relevant and important information is given regarding pyrolsis which is converting plastic into oil which will not only reduce the plastics in the environment but also tackles with the problem of fuel. And above all this will generate jobs too and the crude oil from plastic's industry will be set up which will in turn help the economy by solving the unemployment problem.
Thus, there a very serious and relevant topic is considered here and the ways to tackle them is also taken care of, therefore, there is no question of negative comment, this is surely for the positive development and helping the enviornment to flourish.
