Explanation / Answer

Temperature of Aluminium increases with increase in time due to heat energy received from heating element. The average specific heat obtained from experiment varied by 0.09J/gm-K as compared to standard value. This variation may have been occured by assuming that Styrofoam box is a perfect insulator, taking a distance between RTD and heating element and considering Aluminium as a perfect conductor.
