Question
I would really appreciate it, and rate well the answer provided by someone, who can help me learn how to determine whether or not, if data is an example of parametric or nonparametric data.6. Mel’s Diner has been surveying their customers for the past couple of years about their dining experience in the restaurant. The survey uses a scale of one to five, five being best to indicate customer satisfaction. Mel’s customer satisfaction averaged 2.5 last year, but this year it is 2.9. Is this difference statistically significant?
Explanation / Answer
This is ordinal data that cannot be measured because it merely indicates ranking. Hence it is nonparametric. Parametric data must be capable of being measured, and thus be interval or ratio data.
