B) Ans: From the scatter plots, we can say that data set 1 and 3 have a linear relationship. Whereas, the data set 2 has a quadratic relationship. And at last, we know that data set 4 does not have a linear relationship but its correlation coefficient is 0.81 is due to one outlier. Hence, we can not conclude that two variables have a linear relationship by calculating the correlation coefficient only.
