Determine behaviour at x = 1 of the function f where f(x) = continuous at x = 1 removablediscontinuty at x = 1 Jump dicontinuity at x = 1 Infinite discontinuty at x = 1 Determine behaviour at x = 1 of the function f where f(x) = continuous at x = 1 removablediscontinuty at x = 1 Jump dicontinuity at x = 1 Infinite discontinuty at x = 1 For function f defined bellow should f(2) be defined so the function f would be continous evry where? f(x) = x2 - 4/x - 2, x 2Explanation / Answer
1. jump discontinuity 1, inifite 2, removeable 3
2. jump, because f approaches 6 on the right and -1 on the left
3. infinite, because the function approaches 2/0 which heads toward +/- infinity
4. f(x) reduces to x+2, so define f(2) = 2+2 = 4
