Reply to this thread please The way that I define flow in athletics is the ability of an athlete to fully engage into the sport that they play so they can perform at the best they possibly can. One strength of the current flow model is to set goals.I believe that setting goals is very important in becoming the best you can be. Another strength of the flow model would be concentration. Without concentration then athletes will be performing well below their peak performance. The biggest weakness in the flow model would that preparation is not one of the nine key factors. I believe that preparation in necessary for an athlete to perform at their highest ability Another weakness would be loss of self-consciousness. I feel if you lose your self-consciousness then that could affect your teams ability to win a game, and the reason you play is to win. One element of the flow model that I would change would be loss of self-consciousness . In athletics, it is important to ask yourself if you are doing a good job, and to evaluate your performance in my opi you lose yourself within a sport, it could rally affect whether a wins or loses a game. For example, if you self-consciousness in a basketball game and go out and not worry about stats and go out and play, you could miss 15 s during the game, then you can make adjustments and find different ways to help your team win. The biggest thing that I am going to take away from this article is to enjoy myself. In the end, athletics are suppose to be fun, and if I take it as only a job, then there is no point in doing it. hots in a row and cost your team the game. Instead, if you evaluate your performanceExplanation / Answer
The concept of "flow" was formed by Mihalyi, a positive psychologist. He said that all of us are capable of achieving our best when we are in a "flow state". A person is said to be in a flow state when the work they are doing has an equal balace of interest and difficulty level. For example, a person who is bored and the task is too easy would not enter the flow state. Similarly, when a person is faced with a task that is too difficult, he wont be engaged in a flow state. An individual is at his creative best when he is in this zone.
This concept of flow goes across all borders and fields. It is seen here, that some of the 9 factors of flow are examined in the field of athletics. It is rightly said that goal setting and concentration are important factors and preparation, self-consciousness should also be included in it. It helps us to regulate our performance to make sure we achieve the best that we can possibly be.
