The raid on the rentboy.com an organization that supplies male escorts shows that being a male doesn’t give any privilege in front of the law. Although, most of the international organizations have insisted selling one’s body for sex between consenting adults shouldn’t be considered as a crime, America hasn’t considered it yet.
There is also a question that the LGBTQ community normally fights for their rights, their selfishness and their livelihood and they don’t show any active interest in the other social issues which affect other people. But in this scenario, they have decided to raise their voice for them and show their solidarity to the sex workers. Most of the sex workers seems to belong to LGBTQ community who are arrested for intended prostitution by the undercover police thus the police violate the constitutional rights of those people. There is also another issue that most of the sex workers are also immigrants and people of color. So, it’s a good thing that the LGBTQ community has also joined hands to support the sex workers, whether it’s men or women.
