I have briefly described some ideas. I hope they might help you :)
1. List 3 technical aspects that you would recommend to improve the current Twitter. Also explain what they are, be creative.
1. User Interface. - The interface should be engaging and highlight posts. Not all posts may be relevant, so detailed user preference settings can be introducted for filtering posts.
2. Recommendations - There should be a relevant data mining mechanism that displays every user possibly things of his interest.
3. Spam Filters - There is a lot of spam being generated on Twitter. Mechanism should be under place to delete/freeze suspicous account activity proactively (Automatically).

1. Change interface to a 2 column interface. That makes it easier to read, than 3 column one.
2. Google+ should be able to offer suggestions or groups based on the user search history .
3. It should offer more features that aid monetization of content, if not directly from users, then from advertisers. They should be integrated like posts, and not stand out like facebook ads.
3. Share your thoughts on what can twitter do to stay competitive in the years to come. You can answer it from business, social and technical perspective.
By continuing to cash in on celebrity users, and slowly offering improvements, and even a rewards model (where you get points for brilliant tweets) can help in long term growth. These points may lead to people improving quality of posts, and they could infact be exchanged for unlocking new features on Twitter.

1. Advertising : More scope for advertising based on mining user data
2. Entertainment: Some apps should be available on twitter, which can increase the repeated user interaction.
3. New Features : Twitter is not as agile as Facebook in rolling out updates. This can help it can gain more attraction

1. Uncluttered interface - Wall should be improved into filter similar sort of stories into a category.
2. Celebrity Engagement - Celebrity pages are not significantly shown among the clutter of other info in facebook. This can be used to improve social interaction
3. Excessive Apps - The very large umber of games, many of them meaningless, diminish the vaue of fb apps. Such apps should be filtered and not let unnecessary spam be created.
