You work for Hitch Co., a marketing company. You've been there for 5 years, like your coworkers, and generally enjoy your job. In response to organizational needs, your boss Alex Hitchins (Hitch), needs you to work an additional 5 hours per week as part of your new "normal" work duties. You are a salaried employee, and will not receive any additional compensation. Using at least 2 motivational theories, explain what Hitch can do to keep you from leaving the company. I will leave organization when i find any suitable opportunity in the job market. I will search external equity ( Adam's equity theory) by comparing my job duties and payputs from the employees working in other companies.
According to Herzberg's two factor theory , i will seek hygiene factors like salary, better working conditions, good relationship with employer etc.
I will request my boss to increase the salary and overtime pay but if he will do so then i will seek better opportunities due to fact that its my moral obligations to earn better money and prospects for the family members. I will join other organization which will have its name in the Forbes or times list of best place to work for.
