Discussion 4.1 - You as a Human Resource, Not Human Resources In your initial post, describe a scenario where you experienced a human resource dilemma (remember this is not a policy or legal issue that required intervention from the human resources department). Some examples are: motivation, interpersonal relationships, or supervisor-subordinate interfaces. Introduce the parties and their roles, provide basic background, describe the situation, and explain the outcome. Do not analyze the situation, just present the facts as you remember them.
Explanation / Answer
In my career as a human resource I have experienced many difficulties in the beginning stages due to lack of experience. One of the incidents is where I had faced difficulty in recruiting resources to a particular location which is away from the city. There was a critical role to be filled in that office and the resources identified were not ready to take the position due to the remote location. We approached many suitable resources but the result was the same. Meanwhile I checked with my senior on how to overcome this situation. He advised me that some resource would be ready to work in that locality if they are motivated with some factors like extra incentives or relocation allowances. We tried this method with the list of selected candidates and to our surprise many were ready to occupy the position. The outcome was that I successfully fulfilled the requirement in that location and learned a new technique to handle resources.
