Question

Plastic and other types of debris are a huge problem in the ocean. Much of this material is derived from land, travels into streams and rivers, and then makes its way into the ocean. For this discussion post, summarize a unique story or article you find about a problem with a specific type of debris that contributes to ocean pollution. Find a reliable source, but for this week's post, a scholarly source is not necessary unless you find one you want to use. If you are unsure what a scholarly source is compared to a general source, research it and then ask if you have further questions. In your post, make sure you include the following to earn the most points possible:

•Find a unique story about ocean debris; one that is not covered by previous posts - try to extend our knowledge not just recap what we know.

•4-5 sentences in your own words summarizing the article. Please do not cut and paste from the source.

•A citation of your source in APA format.

•Your thoughts on this pollution, and how we can decrease it.
