a.Generally, in church settings, the presence of mental illness is associated with lack of faith. It is seen that a significant portion of the Christians around the world feel that the belief in God should make us immune from mental disorders. They further believe that mental disorders are due to demonic influence or personals sins that one has committed Cinnerella & Loewenthal, ( 1999); Dain, (1992); Hartog & Gow,( 2005).
b.Some relevant scripture that coincides with our view is:
2 Corinthians 4:16: it says our outer self-gets wasted away and only our inner self is renewed each day.
