Question
Pls help meeeee. Thanks 6. A student builds the following digital circuit on a circuit on a breadboard: (2p) 5-volt regulated DC power supply La The IC is a TTL hex inverter (it contains six "inverters" or "NOT" logic gates), but only one of these gates is being used in this circuit. The student's intent was to build a logic circuit that energized the LED when the pushbutton switch was not pushed (was up and de- energized the LED when the switch was pressed: so that the LED indicated the reverse st ate of the switch itself. However, in reality the LED fails to be lit no matter what state the switch is in. Explain WHY? Ost:1...Explanation / Answer
When push button was not pushed , then input to inveter is zero, hence output of inverter is high( logic 1), that is now input to LED is high( logic 1) and LED energized.
When pushbutton is pressed, then input to inverter is high( logic 1),hence output of inverter is zero. That is, now LED is connected with zero input signal, hence LED is off(de energized).
