I have to write a 10-page paper that analyzes the accuracy of the Weather Channel of forecasts during the past 30-day period. The paper should consider the following questions:
Overall, how accurate was your source in forecasting weather over the past 30-day analysis period? What contributed to the accuracy (or inaccuracy of the forecast)?
Which elements were most accurately forecast? Which elements were least accurately forecast? Why?
Do you see any trends or correlations between weather elements?
Did a front move through the forecasted area? What changes were observed? What were the characteristics of the front?
Did the weather during the past 30-day period deviate from the historical weather in that period? Were there any anomalies? What might be the cause?
Below is the weather elements that needs to be included in the forecats for the past 30 days .
Daily high temperature--Record the maximum for the day.
Air pressure—Use decreasing/increasing if you do not have a barometric setting.
Humidity—Predict rain, snow, and so forth including intensity, and include percentage if known.
Cloud cover—Record whether overcast (8/8 cloud cover); broken (5/8-7/8 cloud cover); scattered (3/8-4/8 cloud cover); few (0 to 2/8 cloud cover); or clear (no clouds).
Precipitation—Record the type and intensity.
Visibility—Record the measurement if known, or describe.
Wind—Record the direction blowing from and speed if forecasted.

The condition of the atmosphere of some particular region is called weather of that region, it includes wind, precipitation, temperature, air pressure and other atmospheric conditions. we can predict the weather condition with the help of atmospheric agents its ca;lled weather forecasting. weather is very important part of the human life or another living organism because its alter the daily activities of them.Like if any region having a very heavy rainfall than its directly affect the life of the people who are lived in that area.
so if we can predict the weather condition than we can easily manage our daily routine according to the weather. weather forecasting is directy depend on the atmospheric agents which are following-
1. temperature 2. wind speed 3. wind direction 4. clouds(extent,altitude) 5. precipitation (amount, location) 6. visibility(fog, haze) 7. humidity 8. occurrence of extreme events 9. air pressure
there is several type of techniques are present for the forecasting some are -
1. analog method 2. numerical prediction 3. AWIPS: Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System
4. sounding 5. nowcasting 6. persistence 7. sky analysis 8. forecasting model 9. barometer
10. satellite based system( geostationary satellite system)
these all are very useful forecasting technique for the weather which are based on the analysis and determination of the atmospheric agents. in all these techniques, satellite technique, analog method, numerical prediction are more accurate for the forecasting because its based on the measurement of all atmospheric agents. persistence, sky analysis and nowcasting are not so accurate for forecasting because analysis of these methods is only based on assumption.
there is another reason are also available for the inaccuracy like instrumental problem, misinterpretation of the data wrong measurement etc.
trend between the weather elements is depend on the atmospheric conditions and the intensity of atmospheric agent.
it is possible that in a historical time same weather condions were present as of today. because same atmospheric agents are working in the past time , intensity of the can be change or same .
