Managerial strategies followed by the Organization:

The basic strategy that the university follows in order to deal with the employees is the "High involvement managerial strategy". The employees working with the university are given a fair chance of being a part in decision making and involving themselves with different affairs of the organization.

By involving the employees and asking for their opinions, the satisfaction level will increase, sense of belongingness will prevail and high moral will be reflected among the employees. Moreover, the atmosphere of the university will become happy and harmonious relations will prevail in the environment.

Type of employee behavior which is most important for the university:  

Keeping in mind the managerial strategy used, the kind of employee behavior considered important is "Organizational Citizenship Behavior". It refers to the voluntary behavior of the employees in making efforts to be a part of the system, work for the betterment of the organization, help other employees in their task and work effectively and productively for the organization.

If the organization wants to inculcate the spirit of involvement then it must try to first of all develop the organizational citizenship behavior among the employees, then only they will be able to involve themselves happily with all the affairs taking place in the university. If citizenship is lacking among the employees then free, open and willing involvement cannot be expected from them.
