To work in a organisation, people looking for some basic and then high level needs. So as a employer, you should provide them both

To engage people for long periods, proper leadership style also require, in some leadership style like autocratic, people are not happy towards work but in democratic leadership, people are very happy towards their job because of freedom

To motivate people in the organisation, incentives are really useful, when they get some financial or non financial incentives, people are trying to put more efforts and try to stick with the organisation for long periods
