Explanation / Answer

From the managerial point of view, training manager is primarily concerned with the planning, organizing, directing and controlling the training operations. Training manager is responsible for long term planning of employee training and development by anticipating future training needs of the organization. He keeps track of technological as well as structural changes in organizations. He must regularly interact with line managers and supervisors to keep track of development at floor level.

He is also responsible for preparing operational plans for immediate training and development programmes. Operational plans are required for scheduling training activity in terms of time scale and non-financial resources. Training manager's responsibility does not end with planning and training activity. He also ensures successful implementation. He is responsible right from training plan to training evaluation.
