the correct answer is option D

since initially the capacitor is uncharged. As soon as the switch is closed , currnet starts flowing initially maximum current flows through the circuit therefore the bulb glows brightest ,,,,,,,now the capacitor starts charging and the current in the circuit starts decreasing , so the brightness of the bulb decreases , till it goes off.
